This project showcases environment-related VFX work I contributed to for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is the sequel to Ant-Man and the Wasp we did at Pixomondo.
This time the story is set in the subatomic dimension and my task was to create a procedural particle/dust system that should work in a lot of shots. The idea was to enforce the strange and eerie atmosphere in the quantum world, inhabited by mysterious creatures. The challenge here was to get the setup to work with a variety of shots, all with different camera angles and collision objects for the particles.
Another task was to create a simulation for the sausage-like treetops to achieve a plausible movement within the world. For this I used a tetrahedral softbody vellum simulation and experimented with different kind of forces.
