Hi there,

my name is Niko, a 3D-artist based in Freiburg, Germany. After my Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Applied Science Offenburg, I worked for companies like Pixomondo and M.A.R.K. 13 in Stuttgart as FX Artist.

As a 3D/VFX artist, I specialize in procedural Houdini workflows, real-time visuals in Unreal Engine, and high-quality animations and simulations. I enjoy bringing complex ideas to life visually - from cinematic effects to technical and medical animations.

Proficient in Houdini, Unreal Engine and After Effects. SpeedTree, Gaea, Substance Painter and the Adobe Creative Cloud are also part of my toolset.

Besides pushing pixels around, I enjoy acting (for further information, follow this link), doing martial arts, playing the piano and (of course) enjoying some good movies.

I use Houdini for Lighting/Shading/Rendering, procedural Modeling, Simulation of natural phenomena such like Fire, Smoke, Water, processing of CAD-Data and Product Visualization.

And After Effects for finalizing the Shot to add Compositing, Tracking, Text & Title Animation, Motion Graphics, HUDs and UIs.

My Skill Set also includes Substance Painter for texturing 3D-Assets & Models. Speedtree to create virtual vegetation, foliage and trees. And Gaea for fast and impressive Heightfield generation.
