Unreal Engine Automotive Visualization – Real-Time Car Render
This is my attempt at a real-time automotive visualization in Unreal Engine, with a focus on lighting, materials, and presentation.
Unreal Engine is perfectly suited for all kind of visualization task. Easy Material Setups, Environment Creation and fast rendering with Lumen make it a viable option.
So I made some experiments with Unreal for Automotive Visualization; the car was prepared in Houdini to separate the car parts and then assemble and rig them back in Unreal.
As of Unreal Engine 5, VDBs like the fog or vellum simulations exported as alembic can easily be imported.
With a car rig I could then animate the cars along a spline in Unreal, drag, drop and swap materials and render them with lightspeed with Unreals Raytracing Renderer Lumen.
